This tour offers departure points in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana.  Depending on your pick-up point selection, the tour duration will be from 8 to 9 days.  The price will vary accordingly.  The “Base Tour”, or core, will begin on the day the last group of travelers join the tour, and end on the first day they begin to leave.  “Additions”, like a "Gathering" or "Post" core night, to that base tour will allow all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible.

July 25

* Group air transportation is included on this tour. Travelers departing from IOWA, MINNESOTA, or INDIANA can take advantage of a transfer to our ‘gathering overnight’ at a Chicagoland hotel.
* For those spending the night at the Chicagoland hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the next morning.

July 26

* Your adventure begins! Upon meeting our Illinois traveling companions at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, we’ll board our flight to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
* Upon arrival in Halifax, we’ll meet our preferred partner tour guide and transfer to our hotel for two nights.
* Tonight, enjoy a meet & greet reception.

July 27

* While enjoying breakfast this morning, we’ll discover the quaint rustic charm of Peggy's Cove.
* The Heritage Town of Lunenburg stands out as one of the best-preserved colonial settlements in the New World.
* On our walking tour, we'll discover its rich history and seafaring heritage at the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.
* Enjoy free time in Halifax to explore and dine on your own.

July 28

* We’ll start our day learning about the Mi’kmaq people at Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre.
* Crossing the Confederation Bridge, we’ll arrive at Prince Edward Island.
* In Charlottetown, our home for the next two nights, we’ll enjoy a local theatre performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts or similar.

* Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown, Canada's birthplace, or join a complimentary walking tour of the city.
* This afternoon, we’ll drive the scenic North Shore to Prince Edward Island National Park.
* Among our tour highlights will be a stop at the Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, followed by a true display of maritime hospitality with a lobster supper.

* This morning, we’ll ferry the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia, making our way to Cape Breton Island.
* Board a sightseeing boat and cruise the Bras d'Or Lake.
* Our hotel for the next two nights is in Baddeck Village.

* Enjoy picturesque scenery as we drive the Cabot Trail.
* Winding along Cape Breton's rocky northern shore, we'll ascend to Cape Breton Highlands National Park for unforgettable vistas of its rugged coastline.
* With our visit to Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, we’ll learn about his inventions and accomplishments.

August 1

* At the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, view a reconstruction of one-fifth of the New France settlement.
* Making our way back to Halifax, we’ll drive along the picturesque shoreline of the Bras d'Or Lake.

August 2

* We depart Canada and begin our journey home with a return flight to Chicago O'Hare.
* Upon disembarking from the plane at Chicago O’Hare, you will be greeted by your transfer driver for your return to your chosen departure location.
* You return home with wonderful memories and tales of your adventure to share with family and friends.
