This tour offers departure points in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. Depending on your pick-up point selection, the tour duration will be from 5 to 7 days. The price will vary accordingly. The Base Tour, or core, will begin on the day the last group of travelers join the tour, and end on the first day they begin to leave. Additions, like a "Gathering" or "Post" core night, to that base tour will allow all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible.

September 6
* Travelers departing from IOWA or MINNESOTA, take advantage of a transfer to our 'gathering overnight' hotel - the DoubleTree Hotel in Alsip, IL. All remaining travelers can either arrive on your own at the hotel for a complimentary overnight or choose to wait and join the group on September .7 from one of our identified Illinois or Indiana pick-up locations.
* For those spending the night in the Chicagoland area, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning.
September 7
* Welcome to our INDIANA travelers.
* Our first stop on tour will be Holland, MI - known for celebrating Dutch heritage. Enjoy lunch on your own and some free time to explore.
* Next, we’ll enjoy a Fredrick Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park tram tour with its diverse gardens.
* Before our overnight at the Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids, we'll gather together for dinner in the downtown area.
September 8
* Welcome aboard Shepler's Ferry for a scenic journey to Mackinac Island!
* Experience a narrated horse-drawn carriage tour, guided to showcase the beauty of the island.
* Free time is yours to have lunch on your own and explore!
* A guaranteed tour standout - an overnight stay at the iconic Grand Hotel, with thrilling optional tours for you to sign up for upon your arrival!
* Overlook the world’s longest porch and the Straits of Mackinac for a picturesque formal dinner.
September 9
* Free time is yours to explore and enjoy lunch on your own.
* After boarding our ferry, our next stop is family-owned Harbor View Nursery and Lavender Farm.
* Together, we’ll enjoy the scenic beauty and history of Mission Point Lighthouse Park.
* Enjoy exploring Traverse City and dining on your own.
* Our home-away-from-home for the next two nights is at the Bayshore Resort, Traverse City, MI.
September 10
* We start our day with a scenic drive - with stops along the way - of Sleeping Bear Dunes with a Park Ranger.
* Enjoy lunch on your own & free time to explore at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, Traverse City, MI - described as "a world unto its own" for its unique adaptive reuse of historic buildings.
* Walk through music history at the Music House Museum.
* Tonight, we’ll gather for our dinner together.
September 11
* This morning, we’ll take a step back in time with a visit to White Pine Village & the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum, where we’ll enjoy our boxed lunch.
* As we start our journey home, sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views while sharing your trip highlights with your fellow travel mates.
