This tour offers departure points in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. Depending on your pick-up point selection, the tour duration will be from 5 to 7 days. The price will vary accordingly. The “Base Tour”, or core, will begin on the day the last group of travelers join the tour, and end on the first day they begin to leave. “Additions”, like a "Gathering" or "Post" core night, to that base tour will allow all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible.

September 5
* Travelers departing from IOWA, MINNESOTA and ILLINOIS take advantage of a transfer to our 'gathering overnight' in Mishawaka, IN. All remaining travelers can either arrive on your own at the hotel for a complimentary overnight or choose to wait and join the group on September 6 from one of our identified departure locations.
* For those staying in the Mishawaka hotel, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the following morning.
September 6
* A wonderful way to start our tour - a tram tour of Fredrick Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park with its beautiful and diverse gardens.
* Before our overnight at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown - Grand Rapids, MI, we'll gather together for dinner
September 7
* Welcome aboard Shepler's Ferry for a scenic journey to Mackinac Island.
* A narrated horse-drawn carriage tour is the perfect introduction to this beautiful island.
* Free time is yours to have lunch on your own and explore.
* A guaranteed tour standout - an overnight stay at the iconic Grand Hotel, with thrilling optional tours for you to sign up for upon your arrival!
* While enjoying a formal dinner in the Grand Hotel dining room, you’ll be able to view the surrounding picturesque beauty. After dinner, you may wish to spend time in a rocking chair on the "world’s largest front porch."
September 8
* Free time is yours to explore and enjoy lunch on your own.
* After disembarking from our ferry, the scent of lavender will welcome us with our visit to the family-owned Harbor View Nursery and Lavender Farm.
* Mission Point Lighthouse, with its surrounding scenic beauty, will make a wonderful photo opportunity.
* Enjoy exploring Traverse City and dining on your own.
* Our home-away-from-home for the next two nights is at the Bayshore Resort, Traverse City, MI.
September 9
* We start our day with a guide-led scenic drive of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
* Enjoy lunch on your own & free time to explore at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, Traverse City, MI - described as "a world unto its own" for its unique adaptive reuse of historic buildings.
* Walk through music history at the Music House Museum.
* Tonight, we’ll gather for our dinner together.
September 10
* This morning, we’ll take a step back in time with a visit to White Pine Village & the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum, where we’ll enjoy our boxed lunch.
* As we start our journey home, sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views while sharing your trip highlights with your fellow travel mates.
* Travelers departing the tour in INDIANA and ILLINOIS, welcome back to your departure locations.
* Travelers continuing to Iowa and Minnesota, enjoy a relaxing overnight at the Doubletree Hotel - Alsip, IL.
