You may long to travel the open road, or prefer to get to your destination as quickly as possible. You may select a tour to immerse yourself in a destination and learn everything you can about the culture and people who live there, or choose to simply relax and enjoy time away. You may prefer the structure of a more fully scheduled itinerary, or be exhilarated by the flexibility to explore sites of interest to you and make your tour uniquely your own. Because you may have a preferred way you like to travel, we have created a method of identifying our group scheduled departures, hopefully simplifying the process in selecting the “way to travel” that is right for you!

 

Overland Journeys

Much of the experience is in the journey itself

• Travel within the United States & Canada primarily by Hawkeye Stages motorcoach

• Regular departure pick-up and return drop-off services offered

• Much of the day is planned with moderate amounts of "free time," and activity levels typically ranging from 1 to 4

• Legacy Tour & Travel tour manager accompanies the tour tending to all travel details, providing valuable insight into the history and culture of the areas visited and providing guidance for free time explorations

• Reduced group size (maximum of 36 travelers)

 

Air, Land, and Sea Discoveries

Discover new and exciting destinations in the United States & Canada

• Spend less time on the road and more time to explore the destination

• Travel by plane, ship, rail, and/or local (destination) motorcoach

• Transportation (air) to destination is usually included with departure pick-up and return drop-off services offered

• Much of the day is planned with moderate amounts of "free time," and activity levels typically ranging from 2 to 4

• Legacy Tour & Travel tour manager accompanies the tour when traveling and throughout the tour keeping the tour flowing seamlessly and providing guidance for free time explorations

• Reduced group size (maximum of 32 travelers)

 

Global Explorations

Immerse yourself in fascinating cultures around the world

• Travel throughout the world (outside of United States & Canada) primarily by plane, ship, and local (destination) motorcoach

• Transportation (air) to destination is usually included with regular departure pick-up and return drop-off services offered

• Most of the day is planned with modest amounts of “free time,” and activity levels typically ranging from 3 to 4

• Tour managed by destination experts with group accompanied (start to finish) by experienced Legacy Tour & Travel host assisting the destination experts and providing guidance for free time explorations

• Reduced group size (maximum of 24 travelers)
