October 16

* Travelers departing from IOWA or MINNESOTA, take advantage of a transfer to our ‘gathering overnight’ hotel, the DoubleTree Hotel - Alsip, IL, or similar. All remaining travelers can either arrive at the hotel on their own for a complimentary overnight or choose to join the group on October 17 from one of our Indiana departure locations.
* For those spending the night in the Chicagoland area, get acquainted with fellow travelers and your tour manager, and enjoy a complimentary breakfast the next morning.

October 17

* As we depart Indiana, relax while viewing the Ohio farmlands and the rolling hills and forests of Pennsylvania.
* We will enjoy dinner together before the first night of our two-night stay at Best Western - Gettysburg, PA, or similar.

October 18

* Today starts at the Gettysburg Visitor Center and Cyclorama.
* On our guided tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield, we’ll learn about the significant Civil War battle that took place here.
* After we enjoy lunch together, the rest of the day is yours to explore and have dinner on your own.

October 19

* Beautiful views will surround us on our Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park.
* Before we arrive at Colonial Williamsburg, VA, we’ll stop at Monticello, the historic estate of Thomas Jefferson.
* After dinner together, we'll settle in for the first night of our two-night stay at the SpringHill Suites - Williamsburg, VA, or similar.

October 20

* We’ll start our day visiting the Jamestown Settlement, a living museum that includes a re-creation of the original fort.
* The rest of the day is yours in Colonial Williamsburg. There will be something for all to enjoy!

October 21

* Our day will start with a visit to the National Museum of the United States Army, celebrating over 250 years of history.
* Arriving in the Washington, D.C. area, our first stop will be the Marine Corps War Memorial, dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives for our country since 1775.
* The Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery will become a treasured memory.
* After dining on your own, we’ll enjoy an evening walking tour of the Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Jr., Korean, and Lincoln Memorials.
* Our next three nights will be at the Embassy Suites by Hilton - Old Town Alexandria, VA, or similar.

October 22

* We’ll start our day with a walking tour of the White House neighborhood, followed by a U.S. Capitol tour.
* This afternoon, you may choose from three of the Smithsonian Museums for exploration: Air & Space, American Indian, or the Art Gallery.
* We'll dine together, then attend a show at the Kennedy Center.

October 23

* A daytime walking tour of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and World War II Memorial will start our day.
* Together, we'll arrive for a self-guided tour of the Holocaust Museum, a memorial to the Holocaust victims.
* Our Smithsonian Museum exploration today will be centered on the American History Museum.
* Seeing the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives Museum is sure to be an awe-inspiring moment.
* Enjoy a free evening in Old Town while dining on your own.

October 24

* Today we’ll tour George and Martha Washington's historic Mount Vernon home, followed by a boxed lunch.
* We’ll honor 9/11 heroes at the Flight 93 National Memorial.
* Enjoy free time and dinner on your own prior to a restful overnight at the Hampton Inn - Somerset, PA, or similar.

October 25

* Travelers departing the tour in INDIANA and ILLINOIS, welcome back to your departure locations!
* Travelers continuing to Iowa and Minnesota, enjoy your overnight at DoubleTree by Hilton - Alsip, IL, or similar.

October 26
