This tour offers departure points in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Indiana. Depending on your pick-up point selection, the tour duration will be from 5 to 7 days. The price will vary accordingly. The Base Tour, or core, will begin on the day the last group of travelers join the tour, and end on the first day they begin to leave. Additions, like a "Gathering" or "Post" core night, to that base tour will allow all travelers the convenience of departing from as close to home as possible.

December 1
* Travelers departing from IOWA and MINNESOTA, take advantage of our ‘gathering overnight’ in the Chicagoland area. Remaining travelers can arrive on their own at the hotel for a complimentary night or choose to join the group on December 2 from our identified departure locations.
* For those staying at the DoubleTree Hotel in Alsip, IL, meet fellow travelers and enjoy breakfast the next morning.
December 2
* Enjoy a "family-style Amish dinner" for lunch at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN.
* We'll learn about Amish culture and history at the Menno Hof Amish/Mennonite Information Center in Shipshewana.
* Next we'll have free time to explore Middlebury’s village shops. Traveler Note: Please bring cash, as some vendors do not accept credit/debit cards.
* Prior to dinner together, we’ll experience a horse-drawn buggy ride around Shipshewana.
* Featuring over 2 million LED lights, Shipshewana’s Lights of Joy will be a tour highlight.
* The first of our two-night stay is at the Blue Gate Garden Inn, Shipshewana, IN.
December 3
* Today, we’ll have a unique guided Amish "backroads" tour experience led by our local step-on guide.
* Together, we’ll have the opportunity to get a glimpse of Amish life through presentations led by members of the Amish community such as preserving, weaving, leather working, and other local trades.
* Prior to turning in, we’ll enjoy dinner with a performance at the Blue Gate Inn Dinner Theater.
December 4
* WILLKOMMEN (WELCOME TO) Frankenmuth, MI!
* For lunch we’ll have a "Bavarian family chicken dinner."
* Next we’ll have free time to explore Zehnder’s Marketplace followed by a guided tour of Frankenmuth.
* A unique experience awaits! You’ll test your blacksmithing skills and leave with what you create!
* Enjoy free time and dine on your own in Frankenmuth.
* Bronner’s Lights Display with thousands of twinkling lights and decorations is a festive way to welcome the holidays.
* Our first of our two-night stay is at the Bavarian Inn Lodge - Frankenmuth, MI.
December 5
* Step into the magic of Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, the world’s largest Christmas store!
* We’ll see how two hearts changed the world forever at Bronner’s Silent Night Memorial Chapel.
* Enjoy free time to explore and have lunch on your own.
* Experience the Holiday Magic lights display at Crossroads Village, a living history museum displaying local history and a narrow-gauge railroad and steam locomotive.
December 6
* Enjoy free time this morning at the Castle Shops of Bavarian Inn, including Frankenmuth Clock & German Gifts.
* As we start our journey home, sit back and relax while sharing your trip highlights with your travel mates.
* Travelers departing the tour in INDIANA and ILLINOIS, welcome back to your departure locations.
* Travelers continuing to Iowa and Minnesota, enjoy a relaxing overnight at the Doubletree Hotel - Alsip, IL.
